The Role of International Law in Establishing Corporate Accountability through Codes of Conduct

The talk will present the results of a quantitative study that ascertains the extent to which international labour rights standards have been incorporated into corporate codes of conduct. It will look at the influence of international law in determining which rights have been incorporated and to what degree. Finally, it will briefly consider the implications of these results and further avenues for research.
