Kony: Hunt for the World's Most Wanted. The controversy surrounding the viral video Joseph Kony 2012 ....

Venue: Merton College T.S.Elliot Lecture Theater

Merton College Global Directions Group presents "Kony: Hunt for the World's Most Wanted." This event   looks at the real reasons why Joseph Kony has not been caught and why the LRA has been allowed to flourish. Following the film screening, a discussion panel with the BBC Panorama guests will be held. Discussion topics include, depending on the interest of the audience: Aid, Steps to Independent Media, Corruption, political and business, Colonialism and current power imbalances, War crimes tribunals and the efficacy of them, Threats to stablization from the perspective of environmental and human rights abuses.

The discussion will then open up to the audience, and a wine reception will follow.
