The two lectures will examine two important areas of public international law. We will only be inviting Oxford Law Alumni. Attendance by barristers or solicitors will be worth 2 CPD points. “How treaties protect foreign investors” : Professor Vaughan Lowe, Chichele Professor of International Law and Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford. Professor Lowe is a barrister practising from Essex Court Chambers, and is currently the presiding arbitrator in two World Bank international investment tribunals. “Telecommunications and regulation: how the World Trade Organisation can add value to Telecoms companies” : Professor Dan Sarooshi, Fellow of Queen’s College, Member of WTO List of Panellists, and Barrister at Essex Court Chambers.
