Law and Finance Workshop
Arbitrage and competition in tax, securities and corporate law
Speaker: John Vella, Faculty of Law, Oxford
Venue: Oxford Law Faculty SCR
This is intended to provide a forum specifically for research students and Faculty to meet and discuss ideas. It will initially aim to meet twice a term, with the possibility of more frequent meetings if there is sufficient enthusiasm. Sessions will consist of work-in-progress presentations from Faculty members and research students working in the fields of corporate and financial law. The objective is to provide a forum for discussion of common interests, and, in particular, for the presentation and discussion of work in progress by research students. Having a forum in which to discuss ideas and present work in a supportive environment may be a useful resource for research students. The Group will run in parallel to the Financial Law Discussion Group, which provides a forum for presentations by external speakers to Faculty, BCL/MJur and research students. NB Sometimes meetings are held in London, be sure to check the venue for each meeting.
