Bronwen Morgan

has been a member of the faculty since January 1999. Formerly a Fellow of St Hilda's College, she is now a Research Fellow at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies and a Fellow of Wadham College. With two undergraduate degrees from the University of Sydney (English and Law), she took a PhD in the University of California at Berkeley's interdisciplinary Jurisprudence and Social Policy Program. Her research melds jurisprudential and socio-legal interests, and focuses on regulation, especially the changing role of law in the welfare state. Her thesis explored the politics of bureaucratic rulemaking, especially in the context of the changes in political economy being wrought by globalisation. She has published articles in Public Management and in Law and Social Inquiry. She teaches jurisprudence at undergraduate level, and regulation at graduate level.
