Ben Spagnolo receives OxTALENT Award

Ben Spagnolo has recently received an OxTALENT Award for his innovative use of WebLearn, the University's Virtual Learning Environment, to support undergraduates as they learn mooting skills. It is now compulsory for undergraduates studying law at Oxford to take the Legal Research & Mooting Skills Programme (LRMSP). As part of this, students are organised into c60 courts, each with four counsel and a judge, to learn and practise mooting skills. Ben's WebLearn page supported this, and he was particularly commended for his use of WebLearn to enable submission of court documents that could be viewed only be those in the relevant courts. The OxTALENT awards are part of the University Teaching Awards Scheme, and recognise innovative use of IT in teaching and learning at Oxford.
