On a warm summer’s evening in Sydney, overlooking the Coat Hanger Bridge and the Sydney Opera House, Baker & McKenzie hosted a reception for Oxford Law alumni.

The reception was planned to coincide with the run up to the Torts in Commercial Law Conference which allowed faculty, students and alumni to meet up over a drink and some appetisers.

Dr Joshua Getzler (St. Hugh’s) gave an overview of Oxford today but also spoke of the strong heritage of Roman Law and Legal Philosophy in Oxford. He also gave an update on Oxford's new Master's in Law and Finance degree and answered questions from the group.
