Chris McCrudden awarded a Leverhulme Major Research Fellowship

Chris McCrudden, Professor of Human Rights Law, has been awarded a Leverhulme Major Research Fellowship. The Fellowship will enable Chris to work on an integrated theory of comparative human rights law, examining the legal meaning of human rights, their significance in theory and in practice and the approaches taken by the legal institutions that protect and advance them. Although the approach will be "law-led" it will also be informed by other disciplinary perspectives, which Chris aims to bring together to to explain not just the legal rules and principles, but also their context. Competition for these Leverhulme Fellowships is particularly keen, just thirty were awarded this year.
