Galina Kostadinova
DPhil Law
Galina Kostadinova is pursuing a DPhil in Law under the supervision of Prof Sandra Fredman. Her research explores the legal and political dimensions of the plight of Roma in the European Union.
Galina is a legal consultant on EU citizens’ rights at Your Europe Advice, a public service run by the European Commission. She has wide-ranging experience in human rights advocacy before international bodies such as the European Commission, Council of Europe, OSCE, and UN from her previous work for the Minority Rights GroupInternational (MRG) and the Bulgarian Ministry of Justice. Galina won the 2008 GTA in EU law at Oxford’s Law Faculty and subsequently ran tutorials and seminars to undergraduate students at Exeter College, Oxford.
She holds an MPhil degree in EU Studies from the University of Cambridge as well as a law degree from the University of Sofia, Bulgaria.
