Recognised Students from Other Institutions

The Law Faculty welcomes applications from researchers at other institutions (including research students in the later years of their doctoral work) who wish to work at Oxford under the guidance of an Oxford adviser. Such visitors come to Oxford as  'Recognised Students'.

We will only admit you to the status of Recognised Student if we can find an appropriate advisor to assist you while you are here. In deciding whether to invite you as a Recognized Student we are also interested in knowing how a visit to Oxford would benefit your work.

Please note that in addition to the materials listed on the form, the Law Faculty requires a sample of your scholarly work (e.g. a thesis chapter or article). Once completed, please send the form and supporting documentation to: The Academic Administrator, Law Faculty Office, University of Oxford, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford OX1 3UL. There is no closing date. Applications may be considered at any time. But please apply as far as possible in advance of your intended visit.
