Visiting the local courts

At the Magistrates Court and Crown Court, students sat in on hearings and found out about the court system.

Most students had never visited a court before. Court officials helpfully explained the layout of the court, and the roles of the various people involved in the hearing.

Some judges also took the time to speak directly to the students, which made the visits all the more interesting and instructive.
