ICYMI – Forthcoming Symposium at Oxford on ‘Brexit and the EU: Legal and Institutional Perspectives’

The EU Law Discussion Group and the Institute of European and Comparative Law at Oxford have organised a symposium on ‘Brexit and the EU: Legal and Institutional Perspectives’. The event, which is generously sponsored by Monckton Chambers, is to be held in the Gulbenkian Lecture Theatre (Law Faculty, University of Oxford) on 23 February.

Some of the most prominent academics and practitioners will come together to exchange views on one of the most pressing and debated issue in the UK and the EU: Brexit. The speakers include Professor Sir David Edward, Professor John Temple Lang, Philip Moser QC, Professor Sir Francis Jacobs QC, Professor Paul Craig, Professor Kalypso Nicolaïdis, Professor Tamara Hervey, Professor Stephen Weatherill, Professor Antonios Kouroutakis, Dr Tobias Lock, Bojana Vitanova, and Mikolaj Barczentewicz.

The symposium is followed by the Jeremy Lever Lecture, this year delivered by Eleanor V.E. Sharpston QC, the UK Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the European Union.
