Grade 5: £24,565 - £29,301 per annum

The Faculty of Law seeks to appoint an Administrative Assistant for the MSc in Taxation degree programme, which received its first intake of students in October 2016. This is a part- time taught Master’s degree which attracts legal and accounting professionals and others and which requires a high degree of professionalism in all aspects of administrative support.

The postholder will have general responsibility for a range of administrative functions and will also provide additional administrative support to the Course Administrator for the MSc in Taxation.  The work of the postholder will be directed by the MSc Course Directors and Deputy Directors, and she or he will report to the Senior Administrator for the MLF and Postgraduate Taught Courses.  On a day-to-day basis the postholder will work closely with the Course Administrator for the MSc in Taxation and will be a member of the Law Faculty’s student administration team.

Applicants must have proven administrative experience with the ability to produce accurate work to high standards; excellent communication and organisational skills (being able to manage and prioritise a number of competing tasks); proven IT skills and be capable of using some software packages; a flexible and co-operative approach to work and the ability to interpret, apply and communicate regulations and procedures.
