Professor John Armour is running two one-day conferences on Thursday 26th May and Friday 27th May from 8.30 – 5.30 at St Hilda’s College. We are looking for someone to provide administrative support for these conferences at St Hilda’s. The work would involve helping to organise the event; meeting and greeting the attendees; handing out badges and registering the attendees; dealing with enquiries; liaising with the college. The person would be briefed in advance by Mrs Clare Oxenbury-Palmer and be supervised at the beginning of each day by her. You could take time out while the conferences are in sessions if needed but would have to be on hand during all breaks.
Duration and hours
The work is to start on 26 May and will last nine hours each day with breaks.
The post will report to Professor Armour and Mrs Oxenbury-Palmer.
A general understanding of the field of law is desirable.
Previous events and/or conference experience is desirable.
Good admin and IT skills are essential.
This post is open to current graduate research students in the Law Faculty and the hours are in line with the restrictions on working hours for students.
Rate of Pay
This will be paid at the standard clerical rate of £11.06/hour plus holiday pay of £1.33 = total of £12.39/hour.
