Grade 5: £24,983 - £29,799 per annum

The position of Development Assistant in the Faculty of Law is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in a career in fundraising and development.  The purpose of the role is to provide administrative, clerical and operational support for the development functions of the Law Faculty, through the timely planning, organisation and implementation of donor recognition projects, and the support of relations with donors, alumni, students and staff through research, data management, donor stewardship, and careers events.  The postholder will work under the day-to-day direction of the Development Director.

Applicants must show a strong commitment to and an interest in higher education, in particular an understanding of the University of Oxford and its goals in teaching and research, its mission, and its need for external funding; have a good general level of education; proven customer care (preferably at a major donor or major client level), marketing or events experience, with the capacity to represent the Faculty and the University; excellent communications skills; proven organisation skills, flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to accept responsibility. A background in Law and/or experience of working in a legal background will be an advantage. 

This is a permanent, full-time post and is available immediately.
