Grade 6: £28,098-£33,518 per annum

The Faculty of Law seeks to appoint a fixed-term Executive Assistant to the Dean during the maternity leave of the current postholder. 

This is an opportunity for an individual willing to play a dynamic role at the core of the Law Faculty’s administration and they will be responsible for providing high quality and efficient administrative support to the Dean in all areas of her work.  The postholder will also provide support and advice for ad hoc committees and working parties; be involved in developing and maintaining the Faculty’s links with external bodies and institutions, and will managing projects and new initiatives. 

Applicants should be educated to degree level or equivalent; have relevant previous experience as an executive assistant or equivalent in a large and complex organisation; highly effective organisational skills, with the foresight and ability to plan and co-ordinate high profile events, including the ability to co-ordinate complex travel arrangements and meeting schedules; excellent skills in office IT systems; a high standard of accuracy and literacy to draft correspondence and papers; the ability to manage a variety of tasks at the same time, cope with unpredictable volumes of work and maintain a high level of attention to detail in all matters.   A flexible and resilient approach and experience of working in the field of higher education or in a law-related context is desirable.

This post is a fixed term maternity cover for 10 months and would be an excellent secondment opportunity.
