Christ Church seeks to appoint a Fixed Term Student (i.e. Fellow) in Law for a period of five years. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Law scholar to develop their academic career.

The successful applicant, who will have a good first degree in Law and have completed or be near completion of a higher degree in Law, will be required to give up to six hours of tutorial teaching each week in three papers within the syllabus for Law Moderations and/or the Final Honour School of Jurisprudence. The College has a particular need for teaching in Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, EU Law and Tort, and therefore it would be advantageous for candidates to offer some of these subjects. The Student will also be expected to undertake advanced study or research.

It is expected that the appointee will be made a member of the Law Faculty, and the College will require him or her (by arrangement with the Faculty of Law) to offer one course of lectures or classes each year in the Faculty.

The salary offered will be on the scale £27,025-£30,295 p.a. (current rates).  Appointments are usually made on the first point of the scale. The appointee will be eligible for either free, single accommodation in Christ Church, or a housing allowance of £10,000 p.a. (current rates).
