Professor Julian Roberts is looking for 20 hours research and editing assistance for a peer-review journal article on prior convictions at sentencing.

The work will start immediately and needs to be completed within 4 weeks, due to publication deadlines for the article.


The post will report to Julian Roberts.


Previous experience of editing peer-review articles or scholarly chapters in criminal law/ criminal justice is essential.

Substantive knowledge of sentencing law and practice is desirable.


This post is open to current graduate research students in the Law and Criminology and the hours are in line with the restrictions on working hours for students.

Rate of Pay

This will be paid at the standard research assistant rate of £14.56/hour plus holiday pay of £1.76 = total of £16.32/hour.
