Professor Andrew Ashworth is looking for a temporary research assistant to help with research for an article.

The work is to start as soon as can be arranged.  It is envisaged that the work will take between 10 and 20 hours, during the Christmas vacation if possible.

The post will report to Professor Ashworth.

The research assistant should have a working knowledge of criminal law in Australia, if possible Queensland criminal law.  The work can be done wherever there is access to a good library and good online resources.

This post is open to current graduate research students in the Law Faculty and Centres, and the hours are in line with the restrictions on working hours for students.

The researcher will be paid at the usual Faculty rate (£14.56 + £1.76 = £16.25 p/h), and the post will be funded by an existing college research allowance.

Anyone interested should send a short c.v. and covering letter to Professor Ashworth at with some explanation of how you meet the requirements of the post.  Supervisors may be asked for a reference.

Closing date: Friday 16 December 2016
