Dr Miles Jackson is looking for research assistance to help with a project on prosecutorial discretion in international criminal law.
Duration and hours
The work will start on 1 December 2017 and will run until 30 April 2018.
The hours can vary, but the initial expectation is of 100 hours over the course of that time. You will not be required to work more than 8 hours in a week.
There will be occasional meetings in Oxford but mostly the work can be done remotely.
The post will report to Dr Miles Jackson
- A general understanding of international law is required. A reasonable understanding of international criminal law is required. Interest is public law – in particular, control of administrative discretion – and politics is desirable.
- Good administrative and IT skills are required.
This post is open to current graduate research students in the Law Faculty and recent graduates of the Law Faculty. The hours are in line with the restrictions on working hours for students.
Rate of Pay
This will be paid at the standard research assistant rate of £14.56/hour plus holiday pay of £2.49 = total of £17.05/hour.
