Professor Liz Fisher is looking for suitable candidates to assist in research in relation to a book on the development of US administrative law that she is working on. Applications are welcome from those with an interest in this area and experience in legal research.

Duration and hours

The start date and timing of the research is flexible but all work must be completed by the end of September 2017. A maximum of 100 hours of research is initially available, although this may be allocated between researchers, depending on the interest and experience of applicants. A minimum commitment of 20 hours research by any one researcher over this period is required.

Reporting

The post will report to Professor Liz Fisher.

Requirements

This post requires:

  • A strong background in legal research, with preference given to those with experience in researching administrative law and US law.

  • Good admin and IT skills. Experience working with Endnote is desirable.

    The work requires access to the Oxford library and online databases. The assistant needs to be based in Oxford at least some of the time.

    Eligibility

    This post is open to current graduate research students in the Law Faculty and the hours are in line with the restrictions on working hours for students.

    Rate of Pay

    This will be paid at the standard research assistant rate of £14.56/hour plus holiday pay of £2.49 = total of £17.05/hour.

    Funding

    This post is funded by a Faculty officers research allowance.
