Michael Mansfield’s career glitters with cases that made national headlines and gripped the nation. His involvement in overturning miscarriages of justice such as the Birmingham Six and his reputation as champion of the underdog have established him as one of Britain’s most famed barristers. He is perhaps best known for representing Mohamed Fayed in the Diana inquest, but more recently has acted for the families of Stephen Lawrence, whose killers have only recently been brought to justice, and Jean Charles de Menezes, whose controversial death occurred in the aftermath of the 2005 London bombings.

As well as the opportunity to hear from one of the most interesting and successful criminal barristers of the modern era,  the evening will involve abook signing of Michael Mansfield’s recently published "Memoirs of a Radical Lawyer", discounted copies of which will be on sale.
