Graduate students and Faculty members are cordially invited to attend this workshop on legal interpretation and legal philosophy.
Six legal philosophers, from different legal backgrounds, will engage with a number of theoretical issues related to legal interpretation. Each presentation will be followed by Q&A. The workshop is meant to provide an informal forum for discussion and to facilitate the exchange of ideas.
Speakers: Tom Adams (Oxford); Raquel Barradas de Freitas (UCL/Oxford); Pierluigi Chiassoni (Genoa); Andrej Kristan (Girona); Richard Ekins (Oxford); Marco Segatti (Girona).
This event stems from a series of workshops organised in cooperation with the University of Girona. Information about the latest two workshops can be found here: 2013 http://www.udg.edu/arees/FilosofiadelDret/Activitats/tabid/9725/p/30663/language/en-US/Default.aspx, and 2012 http://www.law.ox.ac.uk/event=10794.
All are very welcome to attend. There is no charge, but for catering purposes please RSVP to Andrea Dolcetti (see email below).
The workshop organisers are grateful to St. Hilda's College and to the conveners of the Programme for the Foundations of Law and Constitutional Government for their generous support.
