Lord Kerr served as Lord Chief Justice of Northern Ireland from 2004 to 2009, and was the last Law Lord appointed before the creation of The Supreme Court, where he now serves as the youngest of the Justices.

With the chance to discuss Lord Kerr’s involvement in Jones v Kernott, the evening will be an invaluable insight into the landmark property case of 2011. Amongst others, we will also hear about the recently decided R v Gnango, in which Lord Kerr was the only one of seven Justices to dissent against the conviction of joint enterprise when, during a gunfight, a passer-by was shot dead by someone other than the defendant.
