Political Economy of Global Criminal Justice

Seminar Stream

We are very excited to launch our new seminar series on the Political Economy of Global Criminal Justice. The idea of the series is to draw out the deeper connections between global criminal justice processes and global capitalism. This is quite timely as we often talk about capitalism as something that happens in the backdrop of global criminal justice processes but we rarely spend time to tease out the connections between one process and the other, examining, for example, how land, labour, finance or ideology relate to practices and struggles of global criminal justice processes.
