Welcome to the Comparative Law Research Group
The Comparative Law Research Group brings together Oxford scholars who take an interest in comparative law, understood in the widest sense. The Group aims to nourish and strengthen the long-standing Oxford tradition of comparative law research of the highest level. We welcome everyone who teaches law in Oxford, including retired colleagues and College-only appointees, as well as doctoral students.
The Comparative Law Research Group is linked to the Comparative Law Discussion Group which aims to host a varied programme of academic presentations while avoiding overlap with the well-established seminar series of the Institute of European and Comparative Law, which IECL visitors present their research. The CLDG hosts not only members of the Oxford research community, but scholars from other institutions who are not affiliated to the IECL.
The Research Group aims also to host other events, such as conferences and symposia, organized a wide range of comparative law themes.
