Andrea is a DPhil candidate specialised in Intellectual Property Law.  He graduated at the University of Milan (1st class cum laude) and earned the LLM Degree at the University College of London (Distinction). 

His research topic focuses on the Law of Geographical Indications in EU Law and International IP Law. His research interests also include the law and history of the World Trade Organisation, especially the TRIPs Agreement; trademark law; traditional knowledge; cultural heritage law and international trade law.   

In 2013 Andrea was awarded the "P. Frassi Prize for Industrial Property Law" by the University of Milan; in 2014 he won the UCL GlaxoSmithKline Prize for Excellence in Intellectual Property and Technology Law. He has presented his work in academic conferences achieving different awards. 

Andrea is also a professional IP consultant, a teaching assistant in International Law at the University of Milan, a guest lecturer at rhe University of Bergamo and advisor of Action Institute, a leading Italian think-tank specialised in economy, finance and law.
