Anna K. C. Koo

Biography

 

LLB (KCL), LLM in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law (Strath), Barrister-at-Law (Hong Kong), Accredited General and Family Mediator (HKIAC; HKMAAL), Arbitrator (MCIArb).

Koo has published extensively in the field of civil justice, focusing on litigation, mediation and evidence.  She has spoken at international conferences across the US, the UK, Europe, Africa and the Asia Pacific.  As Adjunct Associate Professor of Law, Koo teaches mediation and arbitration at the University of Hong Kong.  She previously lectured at the City University of Hong Kong, and East China University of Political Science and Law.  In addition, Koo has conducted numerous continuing professional development courses for lawyers, law enforcers and mediators.  She currently runs judicial education programmes.  

Koo maintains chambers in Hong Kong.  She serves as the chairman of the Buildings Appeal Tribunal, the chairman of the disciplinary committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the Department of Justice's Special Committee on Evaluative Mediation, and a mediator assessor at the Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited.  She was previously appointed as an examiner of solicitor advocates at the Higher Rights (of Audience) Assessment Board and an advisor under the Film Censorship Ordinance.
