Biography

Brian F. Havel is Distinguished Research Professor of Law, Associate Dean for International Affairs, and Director of the International Aviation Law Institute at De Paul University College of Law, Chicago.  He was the Keeley Fellow at Wadham College from 2011 to 2013.  He is also Visiting Professor at Leiden University and University College Dublin and has held the Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Comparative Law and Legal Pluralism at McGill University.  He serves on the World Economic Forum’s Future of Travel & Tourism Council and the Board of the European Air Law Association.  His most recent book is The Principles and Practice of International Aviation Law (Cambridge 2014).
