Charmaine has an LLM in European Law from London University and is admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW, Australia. She is currently employed on a  part-time basis as a research programme officer (civil justice) at the Centre for Socio-legal Studies, University of Oxford, managing a workload of research on regulation in many sectors and dispute resolution. Previously she worked at Clifford Chance in London and Brussels as a public policy lawyer, advising clients on the implications of current and prospective EU legislation and policy and drafting amendments and briefing documents.
