Windle interpreted insanity’s wrongness limb to require ignorance of legal wrong. I revisit the case, arguing that the reasoning for this interpretation was seriously flawed.
Biography
I'm based in Balliol College, writing a DPhil on incapacity rules in criminal law. I'm also a Teaching Fellow in criminal law at UCL, and a GTA on the Advanced Criminal Law course.
From 2015 to 2017 I was a Stipendiary Lecturer in Law at Hertford College, and a co-convenor of the Jurisprudence Discussion Group.
I hold an LLB from Warwick, and a BCL and MPhil from Oxford.
