Li Jun is a Professor of Sociology at East China University of Political Science and Law. She completed her Ph.D. at the Department of Sociology at Nanjing University. Her research interest lies in sociology of law, with particular attention to theories of law and society, law and society in transitional societies, elder law and dispute resolution. Now she is especially interested in the effect of law on social transition in China and would like to write an English book on it. With the world entering into aging society, she is also focusing on formulation and implementation of law related with elders. Li Jun is delighted to be a visiting scholar at the Center for Socio-Legal Studies, where she will work on the research project “the effect of law on social transition in China”. Li Jun is also the dean of the Department of Sociology and the director of the Center for Social Investigation in her University, and has rich experiences in Interview, Survey, and Statistics.
