Biography

Working on a Dphil considering English legal history and the village community in relation to manorial courts, with particular regard to the work of Sir Paul Vinogradoff. I am intersted in the intellectual history of lawyers' concepts of customary law, particularly as shaped by Victorian scholars, and how that has fed through into modern doctrinal studies on the subject.

I also teach Law undergraduates in the subjects of Contract Law and Land Law, and have experience teaching English legal history at undergraduate level.
