Philine Luisa Scheer

Biography

Philine Luisa Scheer is a DPhil candidate in Law and Finance at the University of Oxford, working under the supervision of Horst Eidenmüller and Dan Awrey.

Her research focuses on private law mechanisms for sovereign debt restructuring, particularly contingent convertible bonds.

Philine holds an LLB (Hons) in Law and Politics from the University of Manchester and an LLM in Banking Law and Financial Regulation from the London School of Economics. She has previously worked as a summer intern at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP and taught European Law at the University of Munich.

Philine is a founding member of the Oxford Alternative Dispute Resolution Society and one of the associate editors of the Oxford Business Law Blog
