Biography

Sajjad joined the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies as a DPhil candidate in 2013 to research how innovations in Islamic finance can be applied to other areas of Islamic law. He is on sabbatical from his position as a senior associate at White & Case LLP in London where he specialises in Islamic finance and international project finance transactions, primarily focused on the power, oil and gas and petrochemical sectors. He is also a Teaching Fellow at the SOAS, University of London and the convenor of the Islamic Law and Society Discussion Group held by the Center.
