Dr Van Anh Le is a Departmental Lecturer in Intellectual Property (IP) Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford. Prior to joining Oxford, she taught IP law at Warwick and Durham. Van Anh read for her LLB at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law (Vietnam) and completed her LLM at Bangor University, Wales where she was granted the Bangor University Fellowship to pursue her PhD in IP Law. During the writing of Van Anh’s doctoral thesis, she was granted a research scholarship at the prestigious Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition (Munich) in 2016 and 2017. In addition, she was a recipient of the Eric Sunderland IP Law Travel Scholarship in 2013 awarded by the Welsh Livery Company.
Van Anh’s areas of expertise include pharmaceutical patents, TRIPS flexibilities, compulsory licensing, and access to medicines. She is highly interested in public policy on IP in developing countries.
