Zheng, Wenming is the professor of Media Law at Capital University of Economics and Business (CUEB) in China. He has been teaching for over 20 years at CUEB, with subjects including Mass Media Law, Western Media law and Cyber Law. He holds a Master’s degree from Tsinghua University in China, as well as a Ph.D. degree in Constitutional Law and Administrative law at Institute of Law, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Prior to joining the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies of Oxford of University, He was a visiting scholar at Michigan State University College of Law and Visiting International Professional Program (2016-2017).
His main research interests are in the fields of libel law, the theory of media law, personal information protection in the era of new media, internet governance. During his stay at the CSLS, he will conduct research on the Comparative Study on the Protection of Personal Information in the Era of Social Media among EU, United States and China (supported by the National Social Sciences Fund in China).
