Dr Ben Bradford in the Centre for Criminology is looking for a research assistant to work for three days over Michaelmas term to help organize a series of workshops on vicarious trauma in research.
Duration and hours
The work is to start immediately and will run until the end of Michaelmas 2015 (with a possible extension into the next calendar year). The hours will be occasional, and are unlikely to exceed 3 hours in any given week.
The post will report to Dr Bradford.
The primary purpose of this post will be to manage the attendance lists for a number of different workshops and to act as a point of contact for attendees. The post-holder will require good organizational skills. They will need to be available to deal with email enquiries over the course of the term and to work with Dr Bradford to maximise attendance at the workshops. An interest in the topic at hand will be advantage.
This post is open to current graduate research students in the Social Science Division, and the hours are in line with the restrictions on working hours for students.
Rate of Pay
This will be paid at the standard research assistant rate of £13.88/hour plus holiday pay of £2.38 = total of £16.26/hour.
This post is funded by the University’s Teaching Excellence Award fund.
