Measuring the Quality of life in detention
The project is run by Mary Bosworth working with Alice Gerlach
Created by Mary Bosworth in 2010 with assistance from Dr Blerina Kellezi (Nottingham Trent University), the Measure of the Quality of Life in Detention (MQLD), is a research lead survey specifically designed for use in immigration removal centres. Currently onto its third iteration, the survey seeks to capture detainee views about their experiences of custody. Under the leadership of Alice Gerlach the survey is undergoing a final round of testing in 2017.
