Response to Law Commission Consultation: Evidence in Sexual Offences Prosecutions

In 2023, Natalie Kyneswood provided a detailed, 9000 word response to Law Commission draft proposals to reform the law on evidence in sexual offence trials.
The Law Commission's Final Report, published in July 2025, cites extensively from Natalie's response and doctoral research into the s. 28 pilot for intimidated witnesses, as well as referring to the evidence she submitted to the Justice Select Committee and the accessible Which special measure? resources she created for victim-survivors.
Natalie was also involved in peer reviewing the Final Report on behalf of the Commission.
Natalie has also discussed the Law Commission's draft proposals in a paper delivered to the CSLS Access to Justice Research Cluster in November 2023.
