Alumna: Ruth Deech

Baroness Ruth Deech graduated with a first in Law in 1965. 

Baroness Deech is an academic, lawyer, bioethicist and politician, most noted for chairing the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA), from 1994 to 2002. She studied at St Anne's College where she later became Principal.  Baroness Deech sits as a Crossbench peer in the House of Lords.
