David Suber

Biography

David is a researcher and freelance journalist, working on intersection between organised crime, people smuggling and border policing. He is currently completing his PhD at the UCL Jill Dando Institute of Crime Science on the impacts of border enforcement on the adaptation of people smuggling. 

David is the co-director of the creative journalism collective Brush & Bow. He collaborates regularly with international media by producing multimedia forensic investigations and video documentaries. He is a consultant to international organisations and law firms, and delivers guest seminars at universities in Europe and the Middle East.

He is one of the research leads of the Human Trafficking, Smuggling and Exploitation research groups at UCL's Jill Dando Institute of Crime Science and is currently a visiting researcher at Border Criminologies, University of Oxford.
