Qingmin Guo

China Scholarship Council Postdoctoral Fellow

Biography

Qingmin Guo is a China Scholarship Council Post-doctoral Fellow at the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford under the supervision of Professor Jonathan Herring. Her main research interests are family law, succession law, and child protection. Qingmin completed his PhD at Southwest University of Political Science and Law, China in 2021. She was a Visiting Researcher at the TC Beirne School of Law, the University of Queensland from March 2020 to March 2021.

Her monograph Research on the Divorce System in Australia (Chinese People's Public Security University Press, 2022) has been awarded the Third Prize of the Excellent Research Achievements Award 2020-2022, the Marriage and Family Law Association of China Law Society. She is also one of the authors of the following books: Legal Practice on Divorce Disputes (with Li Lei, China Legal Publishing House, April 2023, Forthcoming), Research on Contemporary Foreign Marriage and Family Law System (with Wei Chen, et al., Chinese People’s Public Security University Press, 2022). An Empirical Research on People’s Concepts of Property Inheritance and Habits of Heritage Disposal in Contemporary China (with Wei Chen, et al., Chinese People's Public Security University Press, 2019). She has published 9 academic papers and translations in publications such as Civil and Commercial Law Review, Private Law Review, International Journal of Private Law, Researches on Family Law, etc.
