Student Fellowship in Human Rights - Business & Human Rights Resource Centre

Applications for 2024 have now closed.

The Bonavero Institute Summer Fellowship at The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre is an eight-week internship, tenable from early July to late September 2024.

About Business & Human Rights Resource Centre

The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre (BHRRC) is an independent, international human rights NGO dedicated to advancing human rights in business and eradicating abuse. We have 20 Regional Researchers based in all regions of the world. They are supported by our offices in London, New York, Berlin and Bogotá.

Since 2002, BHRRC has become the reference point in the growing field of business and human rights. BHRRC empowers advocates by amplifying the voices of the vulnerable, and human rights advocates in civil society, media, companies, and governments. It strengthens corporate accountability by helping communities and NGOs get companies to address human rights concerns, and provide companies an opportunity to present their response in full. And it builds corporate transparency by tracking the human rights policy and performance of over 10,000 companies in over 180 countries, making information publicly available in eight different languages. We engage with companies and governments to urge them to share information publicly.

BHRRC’s approach is focused on impact, collaborative, independent, fair and objective, and it likes to go beyond the headlines.

About the internship at BHRRC

BHRRC has been running an internship program since its foundation in 2002, and most recently, we have been also running a fellowship programme in our London office. Interns and fellows are full members of the team, and work with us on research, communications, and advocacy in one or more of our project areas. We are looking for students who have excellent research and writing skills, have a strong sense of initiative, and who are willing to be part of a dynamic, committed and brilliant team of human rights professionals from across the world. The nature of the BHRRC’s work means that there will be a wide range of tasks and projects to work on, hence it suits those with a diversity of backgrounds, but strong commitment on human rights is essential.
