Biography

Carmen Le is an MSc candidate in Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Oxford. She is one of the Communications Research Interns with the Border Criminologies blog for this year. Her research focuses on how grassroots activists navigate legal and bureaucratic systems in the US and UK to oppose detention and deportation in the fight for migrant justice. Carmen completed her BA at UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs and has been involved with advocacy and abolition organisations in California and Oxford. She is the daughter of a refugee and an immigrant, and hopes to spend her life fighting for the justice and dignity of all people.
