The Competition Law and Policy Discussion Group includes research students and scholars focused on the topic of competition law and policy.
We aim to create a small academic community at the Oxford Law Faculty, to debate and share ideas relating to EU and UK competition policy and enforcement. We will also explore articles and other materials related to contemporary global issues in the theory and practice of competition laws, providing an informal setting to discuss personal challenges related to the member's research interests.
Each session will focus on one primary source material. As the discussion group is informal, prior reading, as well as participation in the group, is entirely optional. However, students who wish to attend must email convenors (email@example.com) or (firstname.lastname@example.org) as the sessions will be capped at 20 students per session. Led by a different researcher in each meeting, the discussion groups will be an informal, non-graded opportunity for students to supplement their formal studies and engage with other young academics and senior staff members in an open environment.
The group meets twice each term in the Law Faculty or one of the nearby colleges. The group is open to all postgraduate students at the University of Oxford.
