Training, mentoring and career development

Mandatory training

All staff are required to complete the following mandatory training to ensure the University is compliant with laws and regulations:

Did you know?

Research staff are entitled to 10 days of career development per year. This includes attending conferences, engaging in a mentoring relationship, reading articles and joining workshops and courses. Why not browse through the resources available on Law’s Intranet page now?

PSS colleagues are entitled to 2 days of training per quarter. This includes conferences, online/in-person courses and workshops, peer-learning, apprenticeships, reading, and mentoring or coaching.

Training can take different forms: dedicated time to attend a course, on-the-job training/projects, mentoring or coaching, apprenticeship, etc. To support staff with their career development, the Faculty created a new full-time role within the HR Team. Get in touch with the Training and Disability Support Officer for any career development and training questions: mady.buil@law.ox.ac.uk
