Law Ambassadors (x5)

Deadline date for applications: Midday on 31 May 2024

The Law Faculty Outreach team is looking for 5 undergraduate Law students to help with the smooth running of the University Open days at the Law Faculty on 26- & 27 June 2024.

This will involve meeting prospective students and parents/guardians, offering guidance on the Law admissions process, giving advice on the LNAT and providing an insight into life as an Oxford law student.

We are therefore looking for Ambassadors who reflect the diversity of the University and the Law Faculty itself.  You could come from any type of background, but you must be passionate about raising aspirations and awareness, about supporting widening access and participation schemes, and about the Oxford Faculty of Law.

We also need students who are highly responsible. Prospective applicants are always interested in talking to current students, so it’s really important to us that you have all the correct information about applying and studying here, and can confidently answer admissions enquiries, talk about the courses, and direct applicants to the information they need.  Training will be provided and each Ambassador will be required to complete the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Board (OSCB) Safeguarding training online prior to the event.

Duration and hours

Working hours: two days (7 hours per day, to be worked between 9:30am and 4:30pm), so a total of 14 hours across the duration of the event, with the exact details to be agreed with the supervisor.

Please note, this event takes place outside of term time, therefore you will either need to have accommodation organised or be willing to travel to Oxford for the event.

Start date: 26 June 2024

Date by which the work must be completed: 27 June 2024

Reporting

The Law Ambassadors will report to Emma White (Admissions and Outreach Officer), who will be responsible for signing timesheets.
