Des Voeux Chambers Oxford-HKU Visiting Fellowship
In 2015, an annual academic fellowship was established which is awarded each year to a member of the Faculty of Law of the University of Oxford to visit the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong (HKU). As part of their generous support for Oxford Law, and their desire to strengthen links between Oxford and Hong Kong, Des Voeux Chambers funds the Fellowship as well as two scholarships for Oxford students.
During the visit, the visiting fellow will be expected to deliver a public lecture and possibly other guest lectures or workshops at HKU, engage with HKU colleagues and students in research activities, and act as an academic ambassador for the Oxford Faculty of Law.
The Fellowship opportunity is usually advertised annually in Michaelmas Term, with a deadline in Hilary Term for visits taking place in the following academic year. Applications are then considered by University of Hong Kong with input from the Des Voeux Chamber.
For further information about the Fellowship, and the application process, please contact the Law Faculty's External Relations Officer, Damien Chen.
