About the Socio-Legal Discussion Group
The Socio-Legal Discussion Group serves as a forum for interdisciplinary scholars exploring the intersections between law and other fields such as sociology, anthropology, history, political science, economics, and more. Recognizing that law is deeply embedded in social structures, our goal is to foster discussions that delve into these complex relationships.
We aim to create a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages critical reflection, the sharing of new research and methods, and the development of innovative socio-legal ideas.
Who Can Participate?
We welcome anyone with an interest in socio-legal studies to attend or present their research. Whether you are an established scholar or just beginning your academic journey, you are invited to join us for rigorous debate and intellectual exploration of the key intersections between law and society.
Discussion Timings
The Socio-Legal Discussion Group meets several times during the term. Sessions are typically held on Thursdays from 12:30 to 2:00 PM in Seminar Room B, Manor Road Building, and are also accessible online via Zoom (unless otherwise stated).
